About Pam

I am honored and excited to be running for CVSD Director position 5. I am a registered nurse with a master’s degree in nursing with an educational emphasis. I have worked in numerous areas of nursing including pediatrics, labor and delivery, pediatric and neonatal intensive care, emergency room, pediatric flight nurse, and nurse educator. I am currently an assistant teaching professor at a local College of Nursing. I am on the leadership team representing obstetrical nursing. I am on the curriculum revision team this summer. I will utilize my experience in both health care and academia, if elected.

I am also a mother of five children. All of them have attended CVSD schools. CVSD prepared all of our children to succeed and be productive citizens. Our college-bound children were well prepared for college and excelled there. Our youngest is in middle school. The challenges and mandates related to COVID have impacted our household. I empathize with the struggles and difficulties that our children and parents that have faced this past year. I will bring this life experience and empathy to the board, if elected.

I am a devout Christ follower with strong morals and work ethic. I bring such morals and work ethic to my job and would bring them to the board.

I am a person of integrity. I will do what I say and say what I do. I am the same to everybody. I will apologize if I am in the wrong and work hard to ensure it is corrected.

I am diligent. I work very hard and earnestly to accomplish the tasks before me. I have sympathy and empathy for those around me. We may come from different backgrounds or belief systems but I will do my best to hear your story.

I am honest. I will not lie to you or avoid you. I may not know the answer, but I will be honest about that.

I am respectful. I believe God made us all and we all have value. I expect a lot out of my children and students but also give them the respect they need and deserve to thrive.

I collaborate well with my peers to accomplish the task at hand. I ensure I am giving my best effort to my work, listening to their ideas, and working to a conclusion for the task at hand.

These principles are my core and would be brought to this position, if elected.
